For the next instalment of our 0001-SOCIALDISTANCING call, we asked a Berlin based photographer Elena Breuer to share her take on the current situation. In her rare self-portrait series, Elena styles herself in clothing made by a local brand, to support them in these uncertain times.
“I don’t actually use my platform to share insights or thoughts from my private life. For the simple reason that I only want to showcase my work and not myself.
“Like many of you, I also had to go from 100 to 0 and I am now facing a great uncertainty as to what the future will look like.“
I changed this temporarily due to the current situation. Like many of you, I also had to go from 100 to 0 and I am now facing a great uncertainty as to what the future will look like. Since I can not make any medical or political contributions to the current situation, I would at least like to stand up for the entrepreneurs and brands whose existence is endangered by the Corona crisis.
Therefore I decided to photograph myself and implement some of the clothing by Erlich Textil to support them that way.”
Thank you Elena!
